PADRE OFFICE

PADRE is "Soaring to New Height’s" with CHOC Children's, HOAG Hospital
and its Diabetes team. The PADRE Foundation office has relocated to the
Centrum Building (1120 West La Veta Avenue, Suite 410)

The Centrum Building is located across the street steps from CHOC Children's.

Ryan Martz - Program Manager

Ryan has been working for the PADRE Foundation since 2002.

He will be in charge of the daily operations at PADRE while managing the planning of the Annual Fashion Show, Annual Golf Tournament, Harvest Carnival, Holiday Party, Surfing with Diabetes and special events and outings for the teen program (13-19 years old) which includes teen retreats, peer mentoring, and support groups.

Ryan is also the Program Director for DYS (Diabetic Youth Services) INC. since 2004 which owns and runs Camp Conrad-Chinnock, a summer camp for children living with Type 1 Diabetes.

Leonel Talavera - Community Health Worker

He works out in the community in the Newport / Costa Mesa area and also in the clinic’s at both CHOC Children’s and HOAG Hospital. Leonel
works with the Hispanic/Latino population assisting in education classes, type 2 diabetes prevention, and PADRE events.

He got involved with PADRE when he volunteered at the ADA/PADRE Family Retreat in 2007. He knew then that he wanted to do more with the
Foundation. Leonel enjoys coaching, cycling, running, snowboarding and motivating others to stay healthy.
