Heather
will be in charge of operations on a part-time basis
as Executive Director. Heather is a parent of a child
with diabetes, long-time PADRE supporter and for the
last 10 years the Diabetes Research and Education Coordinator
for the CHOC Diabetes Team. She has also contributed
to many PADRE education programs and events over the
last 16 years.
Bonnie is the new Operations Manager overseeing the daily activities for PADRE. She obtained her Master's Degree in Public Administration and worked for a major utility company for many years. Bonnie and her husband Caesar have 5 year twins, CJ and Kathleen, with type 1 diabetes. Together with her strong job knowledge and experience with diabetes, Bonnie will be an asset to the group. She is committed to helping others and is excited to work for PADRE Foundation.

rmartz@choc.org Ryan Martz- Ryan has been working for the PADRE Foundation as the Event and Program Coordinator, since 2002 with his expertise and knowledge he assists in the planning of the Annual Fashion Show, Hunt “Fore” the Cure Golf Tournament, Surfing with Diabetes and coordinates special events and outings for the teen program (13-19 years old) which includes teen retreats, peer mentioning, and support groups. Ryan is also the Program Director for DYS (Diabetic Youth Services) INC. for the past four years which owns and runs Camp Conrad-Chinnock, a summer camp for children living with Type 1 Diabetes.
Mary Herrington is the PADRE Office Manager who provides timely and effective office and administrative support to supervisors and managers. She is the welcome voice at PADRE ready to meet and greet the PADRE families. Mary joins PADRE from Coast Hills Community Church and Foundation for Hope where she was Executive Assistant for the past 10 years. She has always been very active in working with children and teens. She is the proud grandmother of three, has served as a camp counselor, a mentor, and as a teacher. PADRE is very excited that she decided to be part of their team.
