On a monthly basis, PADRE offers specialized classes that assist in managing Type 1 diabetes.
Many of our classes are also taught in Spanish. Classes serve children and adolescents throughout Orange County and other Southern California areas. They are taught by CHOC Children's Hospital Diabetes Team and include Certified Diabetes Educators and Registered Dieticians, as well as physicians and psychologists. All classes are provided at no cost.

The PADRE Foundation hosts numerous engaging activities for children and families. The purpose of these programs is to enable children to have a sense of normalcy and to enable them to be side by side with their peers, who do the same things that any child with diabetes must do (test their blood sugar, take shots, measure food, etc.). Accepting their disease and establishing a routine is mandatory to prevent the potential complications a child living with diabetes may face.

Fun with the family at the Angel game. Join us for a great time while teaming up with the PADRE Foundation to raise money for Type 1 Diabetes!

The PADRE Foundation was founded in 1985 as a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization designed to support the needs of Southern California children and adolescents who have diabetes, and their families, through a program of diabetes health EDUCATION, support groups and events. Below you will find scheduled upcoming groups you can sign up for.
